Carhire3000 is inviting you to enter its “Travel Writer 2008” competition - giving you the chance to WIN an in-car portable GPS. 

All you have to do is write a short “article” (min 500 words) on somewhere you have enjoyed visiting, packing it full of insider tips, sightseeing opportunities and, who knows, maybe the odd reference to hiring a car!

Our winner will be bursting with enthusiasm about his/her subject and keen to share their knowledge with the rest of our customers, offering information that can’t necessarily be found in the guide books.

The winner will receive an in-car portable GPS - a useful addition to any journey.

And if you don’t win this time, don’t worry. As we are usually inundated with replies each time we run a competition, our judges will also pick a number of runners-up whose articles will be featured in our newsletters throughout 2008.  These budding writers will receive a runners-up prize of £10 worth of Amazon vouchers.

To enter, complete the entry form above between 11.00 02/11/07 and 23.59 18/01/08. Entries should be positive reviews about a destination you have enjoyed visiting. The article should be approximately 500 to 900 words long and should be your own original work and not subject to copyright. A final winner will be chosen from all completed entries submitted between the aforementioned dates, by a panel of judges on the basis of the most original and informative article.  Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. All entrants agree that the names and entries may be used by Travel Jigsaw for publicity purposes.  Entries may be edited.  Details will be processed by Travel Jigsaw in full accordance with UK data protection legislation. Details supplied above are not passed to any third parties other than for the purpose of delivering the prize.  The winner will be notified by email within 21 days of the closing date and the winning article will be published in the Carhire3000 February newsletter and published online.  The winning prize is an in-car portable GPS. Up to 10 runners-up will be chosen from the remaining completed entries to feature in forthcoming newsletters throughout 2008.  These runners-up will also be notified by email within 21 days of the closing date and will receive £10 worth of Amazon vouchers, sent via email. The prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and there are no cash alternatives.  Should the prize be unavailable, a similar prize of equal value will be substituted.
